Tall, slender, conical tree, growing to 50 feet. One and a half inch needles, 3-4 inch cones. Habitat is the sub-alpine zone to the tree line of high mountains and drier interior regions. Because it is slender, it can be used for groupings in the landscape. Native Americans used it's boughs for flooring and bedding.
